Frequently Asked Questions
We partner with trusted financing providers to offer flexible payment plans. These may include low- or no-interest promotional periods, same-as-cash options, and long-term repayment schedules to fit your budget.
You can start by filling out our simple online application or speaking directly with one of our financing specialists. We’ll guide you through the process, help you gather the necessary information, and work to get you an approval as quickly as possible.
During the application process, a soft credit inquiry may be performed, which typically does not impact your credit score. However, once you proceed with the full application or finalize the loan, a hard inquiry may be needed, which can have a minimal effect on your score.
Many of our customers receive a decision within minutes. The exact turnaround time depends on the financing provider and your individual credit profile, but we strive to make the process as fast and straightforward as possible.
We understand that not everyone has a perfect credit history. Our financing partners often consider multiple factors beyond just your credit score. We’ll do our best to find an option that suits your needs and budget.
Most of our financing plans allow you to make additional payments or pay off your loan early without incurring extra fees. Check with our financing specialist or review your loan documents for the specific terms.
If you anticipate having trouble making a payment, contact our financing partner as soon as possible. They may offer options or temporary arrangements to help you stay on track and avoid late fees or credit impacts.
GreenSky® is not a lender. They are a service provider and program administrator for federally insured, federal and state-chartered banks that provide consumer loans under the GreenSky® Programs.
As a borrower, you received a loan agreement that identifies the bank that is offering and funding your loan. This loan agreement is between you and the funding bank directly. However, GreenSky® services your loan at the direction and control of your lender, so any questions you have should be directed to them.
Unfortunately, we cannot take credit cards as a form of payment for your GreenSky® Program loan.
We cannot provide you with tax advice. In general, however, GreenSky® Program installment loans are personal loans and are not mortgages that qualify for a tax deduction.
An unsecured loan is not linked to a specific piece of property (“collateral”) that the borrower agrees to give to the lender if the borrower does not pay back the loan. A secured loan, in contrast, always has some form of collateral, like a car or a house of which the lender can take possession in the event of default.
